子供の権利の歴史
２０世紀前半の産業国では、子供の保護に関する規格はなかった。不衛生で危険な環境で大人に交じって働くのも普通だった。子供達のこうした状況は間違っているというの認識の高まりや発展的な子供のケアへの理解とその普及が、より優れた子供の保護活動へと導いた。
子供の権利における国際的な理解はこの１００年で劇的に発展したが、こうした理解にも格差が残るのが現状である。
＜子供の権利の歴史＞
１９２４年
国際連盟はセーブ・ザ・チルドレンの創設者であるエグランティン・ジェップによる子供の権利に関する宣言を承認した。この宣言は、全ての人々は子供達の成長の手段や、困った時の手厚いサポート、安全の優先、経済的自由と搾取からの保護、そして社会的意識や義務の指導的教育を提供する義務があるとした。
１９４６年
国際連合総会は、世界中の全ての子供たちのため、国際子供緊急基金（UNICEF）を設置した。
１９４８年
国際連合総会は、世界人権宣言を承認し、２５条に母と子の手厚いケアとサポート、社会的保護を確約した。
１９５９年
国際連合総会は、教育を受ける権利、遊ぶ権利、支援的な環境、そして医療の権利を認めた子供の権利宣言を採用した。
１９６６年
市民・参政権、経済的・社会的・文化的権利についての国際協定で、アメリカ合衆国は全ての子供たちの教育と保護の平等な権利を支持すると確約した。
１９６８年
各国の世界人権宣言後の２０年間の進捗を評価するため、国際会議が招集された。次なる課題への計画が立てられ、人権を確立する国際公約は支持された。
１９７３年
国際労働機関は１８歳を健康、安全、道徳を損なう恐れのある労働へのの最小年齢とした１３８協定を承認した。
１９７４年
緊急時や紛争時における女性と子供の傷付けられやすさについて、一般集会で加入州への緊急時や紛争時における女性と子供の保護宣言の見守りが命じられた。この宣言は一般市民の女性や子供を攻撃することや投獄することを禁じ、武装闘争時における女性と子供の権利を尊ぶものである。

１９７９年
１９５９年の子供の人権の宣言から２０年を祝して、国連一般集会がUNICEFの先導で１９７９年を国際的な子供の日として宣言した。
１９８９年
国連一般集会は子供の権利招集会を承認し、子供を社会的、経済的、政治的、公民的、文化的参加者として認識する人権の画期的な功績として広く称賛された。
１９９０年
子供のためのワールドサミットがニューヨークで開かれた。青少年非行の防止のための指針は犯罪性を防ぎ、高い社会的リスクにさらされている若者を保護するための戦略を筋書いている。
１９９１年
UNICEF、セーブザチルドレン、国際子供保護機構、その他の専門家たちが会し、子供の権利協議会にて集められたデータを解析した。この会議は１９９５年の子どもの権利国際ネットワーク（CRIN）の正式な設立へと導いた。
１９９９年
国際労働機関（ILO）が子供の健康や安全や道徳を害する恐れのある仕事の急速な廃止を呼びかける最悪な児童労働形態の協定を認めた。UNICEFはILOと１９９６年から協力し、国際労働基準と児童労働についての方針の批准をおし進めてきた。
２０００年
国連一般集会は州議会の児童兵役や子供の経済的・性的搾取、虐待をなくすための取り組みを義務付けた１９８９年の子供の権利協議会へ二つの随意議定書を付け加えた。
２００２年
国連子供特別招集にて、子供の代表者が初めて国連一般集会での呼びかけを行った。ワールド子供フィットの計画によれば来たる１０年間の子供の見込みは具体的な目標によって上昇する。
２００６年
UNICEFは国連薬物犯罪事務所（UNODC）と協力して青少年司法指針の計測マニュアルを発表した。このマニュアルによって、各政府が青少年司法制度を評価し、必要に応じて改正していけるようになった。
２０１０年
国連事務総長が子供の権利協議会の現状を問題年とした。
２０１１年
１９８９年の子供の権利協議会へ新たに項目を追加した。このコミュニケーションの手順にまつわる新項目により、子供の権利への責任は子供の権利の侵害を非難し、より信頼できる調査を求めるものとなった。
２０１５年
ソマリアや南スーダンは協議会に同意した。よってこの協議会は１９６もの国と地域に承認された最大の協議会となtたが、米国は未だ承認していない。

文芸春秋オピニオンにて、作家の澤田瞳子氏の江戸絵画への注目の高まりについての記事を読んだ。文中に、完成している江戸絵画作品の中からキャラクターやデザイン、ストーリーを抽出する新しいながれがあるとのことだが、これは私自身も実感している。そして、この流行は江戸絵画に限ったことではない。トスカナ芸術作品群は新たな作品にデザインとしてコラージュされ、古いヒット曲のドープなイントロは新しい楽曲に織り込まれている。こうした手法は新鮮さの中にクラシックを見出させ、新しい作風への足掛かりを与える非常に合理的なものであることは言うまでもない。しかし、時代をこえても埋もれないマスターピースにあやかっている点で素人的な印象もある。しかもこうしたマスターピースの多くは著作権のしがらみがない。資本主義社会においてなんとも都合の良い素材である。
変異株
感染者数が増えるということは、それだけ変異のチャンスを与えてしまう事になると思う。現在蔓延しているウイルスの特性がたとえ感染力が高く重症化リスクが低いなどと多少現代人に都合の良いものでも、将来的にかけがえのない人命や健康的な生活を脅かす可能性に加担することは安易すぎると判断せざるを得ない。

Most composition that the members learn are classicals, but among the teruiems and madrigals, it is occasional light piece accompanied by piano and strings.

アメリカ社会におけるアジア人：理想的マイノリティ？
アメリカ社会におけるアジア人：理想的マイノリティ？
中国人学生に代表されるアジア系アメリカ人は一種の神話的なマイノリティとしての成功者の地位を獲得している。例えば、平均収入の面で、アジア人は黒人、白人を凌駕した数字を叩き出している。また、しばしば数学の分野で能力を買われ、テクノロジーやプログラミング業界の活躍を見せる。
こうしたマイノリティの成功例はアフリカ系アメリカ人やヒスパニック、ネイティブアメリカンなどの他のマイノリティにも理想として掲げられることもある。
彼らが移民として不利な立場からどのように成功者としての立場を築き、いかにしてそれを守っているのか。遺伝的な要因が絡んでいると解釈する者もいるが、多くの社会学者は文化的勤勉さで説明している。
アジア的な拮抗性、家長主義が文化保持力となり、アメリカ社会におかれてもアジア特有の勤勉さを発揮し、その特性が二代目もに家庭内で引き継がれているという考え方だ。
勤勉さに関しては、以下の作品を通して理解できると思う。
中国系アメリカ人の著者によるこの上なく厳格な中国式子育ての成功と失敗が綴られている。
一方でこうした成功のための考え方を問題視する人も多い。特に子供の精神の成熟や主体性を重要視する欧米的価値観の中では風当たりが強い。アジア系の子供は親の高すぎる期待のために心理的ストレスが多い傾向があると説く人もいる。
また、アジア人の成功は本当に神話だとする見方もある。というのも、アジア人の平均年収が高いとはいえ、その役割は秘書のような補佐的役割にとどまっているといった解釈に基づく。
そして、平均所得についても、一時間あたりに換算すればアジア人はむしろ低い可能性があるというのだ。
最後に、透明な理想的マイノリティについても言及しなければならない。「透明な」というのは私の表現だが、要するにアジア人に対する「理想的マイノリティ」というステレオタイプのために本質を無視されたり、誤解されるアジア人のことである。アジア人は数学が得意というステレオタイプのために作家になる道を反対されたり、先生から実際の成績より高い期待を寄せられたりといった事例がその例だ。
